The Mini Bowdabra will enable you to make complex bows for all your crafts. Wreaths, hair accessories and gift wrapping will all benefit from your new bow-making abilities. Make a cute festive bow for your dog, perfect for attaching to your dog's collar. If you want your dog to look fabulous for a special occasion or want to give a dog as a gift, the Mini Bowdabra bow is the best way to present your pooch.
Instructions
1. Place the Mini Bowdabra on your work surface with one of the flat, broad sides facing you.
2. Fold the wire in half. Hold the looped side in your left hand and the two wire ends in your right hand. Feed the wire into the top of the Mini Bowdabra, and push it down to the bottom.
3. Cut a length of ribbon. The length will depend on the number of loops in your bow and the size of your ribbon -- and your dog. To test the length you need, make a couple of loops, and hold them up to the dog's collar to see if they fit or if the size needs to be adjusted. Cut the ribbon to size. Cut it at an angle to prevent fraying.
4. Take one end of the ribbon in your left hand and the rest of the ribbon in your right hand. Press the ribbon into the Mini Bowdabra, but this time your left hand goes to the back of the machine with your right hand in the front. The ribbon is placed perpendicular to the wire.
5. Pull the ribbon with your left or right hand to adjust its length. The end that is sticking out of the back will be one of the ribbon's tails. Adjust the tail length until you are satisfied.
6. Take the ribbon in the front, and make a loop. Press the ribbon back into the Mini Bowdabra so that both ends are facing the back. The ribbon loop facing you should be the size you tested on your dog before.
7. Make another loop, this time at the back of the Mini Bowdabra. Continue to make loops in the front and the back until your bow is full enough.
8. Place the Mini Bowdabra wand into the top slot -- running from left to right like the wire -- and push down. Remove the wand. Take the two ends of the wire, and bring them up into the middle. Do the same with the looped end.
9. Thread the ends of the wire through the wire loop, and pull on the ends. Pull the bow up and out of the Mini Bowdabra. Wrap the wire around the center of the bow a couple more times to secure.
10. Remove the dog's collar, and wrap the wire around the collar to attach the bow. Trim the ends of the wire, and tuck them under the wire wraps so that there is no chance of them hurting your dog. Put the bow and collar onto the dog.
