Weddings are a fun time in anyone's life. Decorating for a wedding, however, can be expensive and stressful. One of the best ways to avoid the expense and the stress is to plan ahead and do some of the decorating yourself. Making big poofy bows for a wedding can be done weeks in advance and can be a great way for a bridal party to have fun creating decorations together.
Instructions
1. Cut 12 inches of ribbon into a thin strip, 1/2 inch wide. This will be used to tie the larger bow into place.
2. Wrap a 1/2-inch-wide ribbon around four of your fingers five times and pinch the loops in half upon completion.
3. Slip the ribbon off of your fingers and cut two small v-shapes on either side of the ribbons where the loops are pinched in half. Do not cut all the way through the fold.
4. Use the ribbon from Step 1 to tie a bow through the v-shaped cuts.
5. Pull the loops from the center, separating them from each other. Pull the first loop to the right and the second one to the left. Alternate sides with each additional loop.
6. Twist the loops as you separate them from the center. Poof the loops out to create extra "fluff" in the bow. Trim the ends of the ribbon to complete the look.
