Make Hair Bows
1. Cut a length of ribbon so that it is double the length of the width you want your hair bow to be. Fold the ribbon in half and press the fold to crease it so you can see where the middle is. Unfold the ribbon.
2. Fold the two ends of the ribbon so that they meet at the middle and overlap slightly. Thread your sewing needle and and run a few stitches through the middle in the overlapping ends. Sew just enough stitches so that you can bunch the middle up. Once the middle is bunched, wrap the thread around the middle. Secure it by running the needle back and forth through the middle about four more times. Cut the extra thread.
3. Cut another length of the same kind of ribbon at the width of your bow. Thread the needle again and run a few stitches through the middle of it. Bunch this ribbon at the center as you did with the previous bow. Run the needle through the middle of the bow to attach this bottom piece. You will now have a bow with what appears to be the end pieces hanging from it.
4. Measure and cut a 2-inch long piece of the same ribbon, and fold it in half. Wrap it around the bow's middle to hide the thread and sew it together in the back. Secure the bow by running the needle back and forth at least five times in small stitches.
5. Attach the back of the bow to a hair clip. Apply a dab of hot glue to the top of the hair clip and make sure it won't bend a lot, because this will weaken the glue. Press the ribbon's back onto the clip. Let it dry for about an hour.

6. Take high-quality pictures of your finished hair bow accessories to market them on the Internet. Set your camera on the "Macro" setting to take clear close-ups of the hair bows. Create a clean, attractive backdrop for your pictures.
7. Set up an account on an e-commerce site, such as Etsy.com, Bonanzle.com or Ebay.com. Go through the site's steps to upload pictures of each item and fill out important information, such as price, shipping costs and a product description.
8. Log on to social networking sites to promote your e-shop. Tell your friends about it and have them tell their friends to spread the word about your hair bows.
9. Package your hair bows and ship them off as soon as someone orders them. This will enhance your business reputation.
