Make Clippies

Little girls love clippies for their hair, but they also can lose them quite easily. Instead of spending money to replace them, make clippies for your daughter instead. You can easily decorate them and personalize them for her. And when you make them at home, you can quickly match the ribbon colors to her clothes.

Instructions

1. Heat seal each end of the ribbon using a heat gun. This is important: if it is not done, the ribbon on your clippies will fray and fall apart.

2. Squeeze the alligator clip open and squeeze a small amount of hot glue along the underside of the top part of the clip.

3. Place the ribbon between the prongs and allow the clip to close, which will adhere the ribbon to the glue on the top.

4. Place a line of hot glue along the top of the clip. Pull the ribbon backwards and press it down to adhere to the top of the clip.

5. Use the hot glue gun to add a small amount of hot glue to the bottom side of the clip, where you squeeze it to open on the end. Wrap the ribbon around the back of the clip to adhere it to the glue.
