Most girls have a bunch of plain elastic hair bands that they never use because they're not decorated--they're too basic and boring. Here's a way to take those old hair bands and perk them up with some buttons. Visit an art supply store and pick out the most colorful and interesting buttons you can find and then bring them home for one of the fastest and most satisfying hair accessory crafts. The next time you have to put your hair up, you'll suddenly have a drawer full of happier hair band choices.
Instructions
1. Visit an art supply store and buy a variety of differently sized and shaped buttons.
2. Use some strong thread to fasten the largest button to an elastic hair tie. Using a needle, loop thread through several holes on the button and tie securely to the hair band.
3. Pick out several other buttons that get smaller in size. Stack them on top of each other, and make sure they make a pattern to your liking.
4. Glue them onto the big bottom button that is already tied to the hair band. Allow all the glue to dry.
5. After 24 hours, you'll have a brand new, button-fancy hair band.
