You can make alligator bows out of alligator clips and ribbon.
Alligator hair bows are hair bows made from a hair styling clip called an alligator clip. You can use an alligator hair bow to pull loose hairs out of your face, to pull all of your hair up or as a decoration disguising a ponytail or hair band. These bows are made with an alligator clip, ribbon and hot glue. By making your own alligator hair bow, you can save money and brush up on your crafting skills.
Instructions
1. Pinch open the alligator clip and place a line of hot glue down the middle of the top prong on the inside.
2. Press the ribbon immediately along the hot glue, on the inside of the clip, with the pattered part of the ribbon facing outward. Quickly close the clip to apply pressure to the glue.
3. Put a line of glue on the outside of the top prong on the alligator clip.
4. Fold the ribbon around the clip and press the ribbon against the hot glue strip. Hold the ribbon firmly against the clip to ensure the glue sticks to the ribbon.
5. Put hot glue on the clamp of the clip (the part you squeeze to open) and continue wrapping the ribbon to cover the hot glue. Press the ribbon over the hot glue.
6. Cut off the excess ribbon and allow the glue to dry.
7. Tie a bow with the excess ribbon and glue the center of the bow to the center of the ribbon on the top of the alligator clip.
