Organize Hair Ribbons
Hair ribbons are must-have accessories for any woman or teen girl who loves to style her hair. However, sometimes a mountain of ribbons will start to pile up in the bathroom, creating clutter. Thankfully, there are simple things you can do to organize your hair ribbons at home. You just need to take some time to sort through those pretty bows and clean up the mess.
Instructions
1. Go to the store and buy a bow organizer. You can find these in the hair section of most grocery stores or you can also find organizers online. Bow organizers have different compartments for bows of various sizes. The little boxes in the plastic caddy are usually deep. You can also find hanging bow organizers online. (See the Resources section below.)
2. Go through your house and find all your hair ribbons and bows. Look in drawers, under the bed and in your purse. You will be surprised with how many ribbons you find. You may also realize that you have several different types of ribbons.
3. Sort your ribbons by type or color. You can put one type of ribbon together or you can sort them by color. Create piles for your ribbons on the table. For example, put black ribbons in one area and red ribbons in another. This is one way to do this, but if you find that you have so many different styles and types it can be better to sort them by type rather than by color.
4. Throw away broken or worn out ribbons. You can also use these for scrapbooks or other craft projects if you like. You can always get creative and find other uses for them.
5. Fill up your organizer with ribbons and have fun. If you decide not to buy an organizer you can always make your own by using an old shoe box and cutting out pieces of cardboard to make compartments. This is also a fun project for a little girl. If you want something that lasts longer you can also use a wooden box and fill and make your own wood or cardboard slats to separate the bows. As a last resort you can put the bows in a designated draw in your home and separate the bows by installing cardboard dividers.
