Make a sporty hair bow to show your team spirit.
When playing a game or attending a sporting event, wearing a sporty hair bow with your team's colors is a way to add to your uniform or portray your team spirit. Making a hair bow that's cute and pretty isn't hard to do. All you need to know is tie a ribbon, and you'll be on your way to making hair bows for the whole crew.
Instructions
1. Select the colors and sizes of ribbon you want to use for your hair bow, and cut them to the appropriate lengths. If you want a large hair bow attached to a ponytail holder, cut a longer piece of ribbon than you would use for a small bow attached to a barrette. You can use just one ribbon, or two, three or more.
2. Align the ribbons on top of one another in the order you want them to appear on the final hair bow.
3. Grasp the ribbons together tightly and tie them into a bow. An easy way to do this is to create two loops right beside each other in the center of the ribbon and tie those two loops together.
4. Attach the bow of ribbon to a barrette. Place a dab of hot glue on the barrette where you want the bow to go. If you want the bow to be attached to a ponytail holder, tie the bow around the ponytail holder to attach it in place. It may help to put a dab of hot glue between the ribbon and the ponytail holder once you have it positioned, so it will not fall apart easily. Allow the hot glue to dry.
5. Place the bow in your hair after you've styled your hair the way you want it. Clip in the barrette or tie the ponytail holder around the one you've already used to pull your hair back.
