Most men and women favor the thought of having a full head of hair. Guys may want to prevent a receding hairline or bald patch from appearing. Women often have trouble with thinning or fine hair. While it's impossible to make hair grow faster, it is possible to maximize your natural hair growth. A lot of beauty products claim to give you the thicker, longer hair you've always wanted, but it takes a little more work than that. All you need to do is follow a few quick and easy steps to maximize hair growth.
Instructions
1. Trim your hair. At least go to the salon every six to eight weeks. This helps promote natural hair growth and keeps your ends healthy.
2. Live a healthful lifestyle. Start by exercising three to four times a week. Walk around your neighborhood, dance to music or start a workout regimen. Also, eat right and get plenty of sleep each night. Your health also determines the health of your hair, especially its growth.
3. Eat more protein. Hair is made of protein, and the more protein you incorporate into your diet, the more your hair will grow. Increase your protein intake with nuts or meat.
4. Take a vitamin or daily supplement. Look for those that have biotin, beta-carotene, magnesium, sulfur or zinc. These minerals promote hair growth and add shine and luster.
5. Massage your scalp one to three times a day. Getting blood flow to your scalp helps improve the growth of your hair. Rub your fingertips on your scalp for at least two to three minutes.
6. Comb your hair; do not brush it. Brushing your hair causes it to fall out. Instead, comb your hair when it is wet and limit your use of a brush.
