Use Hair Accessories
Hair accessories are more than just a way to complement your wardrobe. You can use hair accessories to disguise hairstyle flaws or make up for your hair's shortcomings. Hair accessories are an affordable way to vary your look and enjoy contemporary trends.
Instructions
1. Use jeweled bobby pins to disguise excessively short bangs. Part your hair slightly off-center, and sweep the bangs aside with a dab of gel. Pin them down with the bobby pins, and your hair will appear to be one length.
2. Keep hair off your face with a hair band. Use a simple cotton band for sporting activities, a satin covered band for business attire or a rhinestone band for evening wear.
3. Dress up a simple bun or chignon with hair sticks. These hair accessories, which resemble chopsticks, come in wood or plastic and may feature crystals or semi-precious gemstones.
4. Disguise a temporary hair extension piece with a ponytail holder shaped like a cuff. The ponytail holder provides a transition so an exact color match between your hair and the hair extension is unnecessary.
5. Create the illusion of extra volume with a hair claw. Draw the hair up to the crown of your head, and grip the hair loosely with the claw. This makes the hair pouf out lightly on all sides, making it seem full.
6. Draw attention to your face with a multitude of snaps or springs. You should use these dainty hair accessories in abundance, as each one is about the size of your pinky fingernail. Scatter them around your hairline when you pull your hair into a low ponytail.
