Knowing make the prettiest bows for your floral arrangements gives you an edge in creating stunning, one-of-a-kind pieces.
Instructions
1. Measure the circumference of the bouquet stems, or the widest part of the floral arrangement base.
2. Cut a length of silk ribbon that corresponds with the measurements you have taken. Choose a thick gauge of silk ribbon, such as 1- or 2-inch width. The color you choose depends on the flowers in the arrangement or the theme.
3. Tie the ribbon into a simple, standard bow. Do this by creating a long loop at each end, and then tie them off in the center.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to create two more ribbons in this manner.
5. Apply a small dot of hot glue to both sides of the central knot of one of the bows. Place it between the other two bows firmly for a minute so the glue can dry. Make sure the central knots of the three bows are evenly lined.
6. Tug on the ribbon tendrils hanging from the central knots of the bows gently between the blades of the craft shears. Craft shears curl the tendrils hanging from the decorative bow structure.
7. Snip another length of ribbon from the roll of your choice equal to the measurements of the other ribbons. Straighten it out in front of you horizontally.
8. Adhere the knotted center of the bow to the middle of the horizontal ribbon strip. Let it dry for 10 minutes.
