Hair salon games are a must in a long list of games for girls. Mothers will not have to worry about the weather anymore with these inventive indoor games for kids. Allow the girls to set up their own mini salon and let the fun roll once everything is set.
Craziest Hairstyle Contest
Every kid has her own idea of how a crazy hairstyle looks like. Kids see their favorite stars sport them on television shows or movies. This time they get to do a crazy hairstyle makeover to a friend. The game starts with each girl picking out a name. The name she picks out will be her "client" for the day. The kids are allowed to use any kind of hair accessories, hair sprays and even washable hair color as long as there is adult supervision. An adult should judge as to who created the craziest hairstyle for the day.
The Hippie Headband Fashion Show
Kids will have a blast with a hair wrapping game using hippie headbands. Let the girls pair up, with one girl being the model and the other the stylist. Each model should choose a bright colored scarf as her signature headband for the competition. There are many ways of wearing a headband and the stylist should use it on the model in the most imaginative way possible. Once they have finished putting on their hippie headdresses, the models will take the center stage one by one for a mini fashion show. The girls then secretly vote their favorite candidate by writing the name down on a piece of paper. One of them will be assigned to count the votes and to announce the winner.
Balloon Hair Bows
Making balloon hair bows is an inexpensive way to let kids enjoy a salon hair game. All that are needed for this are hair clips and balloons in different colors. Put the balloons in a box and let the kids pick out their balloons without allowing them to look. The one who luckily picks balloons in different colors will have the most colorful hair bow. Let the kids tie the balloons on the metal clasp on the clip to complete their balloon hair bow. The one who finishes embellishing her bow first will be declared winner. As an added twist, the girls can choose from among their friends who can style their hair using the clip. After taking pictures, they can exchange bows for a pretty party giveaway.
The Wig Parade
This is a chance for the girls to model hair colors and hairstyles that they cannot wear on normal days. Let them select a few girls from among the group to be the stylists of the "fashion show." With the help of their stylists, they can choose from different funny costume wigs to represent a character they like. To complete the look, they can put on fancy dresses to make the parade even more daring. No need to go out on the streets for the event. All they need to do is to let an adult take a video of them parading in their garb. The judging of the girl who comes out as the most charming in the video will be done by their moms and sisters.
