You can create a fashionable hair style, no matter your hair length, texture or style. Design an easy style that is suitable for the office or if you are running late for soccer practice and need to do "something" cute and quick with your hair. You'll need hair accessories, a brush and hair gel to get a fabulous look that looks difficult but isn't.
French Twist
The French twist is a beautiful and sophisticated style suitable for any occasion but is perfect for the office. This style works well with medium to long hair that can have layers. Use a long hair jaw clip to create this style. A jaw clip is a hair clip that clamps down on large pieces of hair without a fastener. Select a brown or neutral toned jaw clip for an office appropriate style.
Pull your hair back as if you were creating a low ponytail. Brush your sides and ends back and use hair gel to smooth any loose ends back. Include your bangs in the ponytail if you typically wear them long, otherwise style them as usual. Grasp the low pony tail at the base with your right hand, then twist the tail using your left hand. Lay the twisted portion of the ponytail along the back of your head and secure with the jaw clip.
Tuck the ends of the tail into the jaw clip or gel them down to camouflage them in the style. Liberally spray your hair with hairspray and include the sides and French twist area.
Easy Updo
This style looks like you spent hours styling it, but it actually takes no time at all and looks incredible. This style is appropriate for a wedding or an elegant occasion and works well with longer haircuts.
Brush both sides into a small high ponytail and secure with a hair colored ponytail holder, leaving the back of your hair down. Pull both sides of hair underneath the high ponytail together and secure with another hair colored ponytail holder. You should now have two ponytails. Braid the higher ponytail and secure the end with a hair colored ponytail holder. Loosely wrap the high braided ponytail around the low ponytail so it creates a circle. Secure the braided ponytail using hair colored bobby pins.
Braid the low ponytail into the remainder of the high ponytail and secure the end with a hair colored ponytail holder. Wind and twist the remainder of the hair around the braided portion of the updo and secure with bobby pins. Tuck any remaining hair under the style and spray liberally with hairspray.
Slick it in Place
If your hair is short to medium length, try a quick, slick hairstyle you can perform in less than 10 minutes. Wash your hair and add a liberal amount of hair gel or mouse to your wet head. Brush your hair into place parting it on the side. Try a jagged part if you want to add a fun twist to this do. Use a comb and run it zigzagged down the side to create a cool crooked part.
Brush the back of your hair straight down and sweep your bangs to the side. Break out the hair dryer and style your bangs if you wear them short. Liberally spray the style into place with hairspray once it's in place so it can set. Do this while your hair is still wet so that it will dry in place.
