He-Man is the cartoon and movie character who battles to protect the planet Eternia and Castle Grayskull from the evil Skeletor. The super-strong hero is known for his well-built physique and skimpy costume -- as seen on Dolph Lundgren in 1987's "Masters of the Universe." While plucking up the courage to wear this outfit may be difficult for some, making it is very simple.
Instructions
1. Cut out a 4-inch thick strip of cardstock that is long enough to wrap diagonally around your upper body, so it crosses your right shoulder at the top and the left side of your waist at the bottom. Glue a 4-inch by 2-inch piece of Velcro on one end of the strip. Glue a piece of Velcro on the opposite end of the strip but on the other side of the card. Sticking the two pieces of Velcro together should form a ring.
2. Repeat Step 1 to make a second ring. Put one ring inside the other, so they are crossing and forming an X shape. The Velcro fastenings must be at the back, but not crossing so they are easy to open and close. At the front, glue the rings together where they cross.
3. Cut a 8-inch diameter circle from the cardstock. Draw a large cross on it with the red marker pen. Put glue on the other side of the card in the center of the circle and stick it to the rings at the point where you just glued them together. You now have your armor.
4. Put the armor on so the circle covers your chest and fasten the Velcro at the back. Put on your shorts, boots, bangles and wig and grab your sword. Practice raising your sword aloft and shouting "I have the power."
