Create A Multi Loop Bow

A multi loop bow is the finishing touch for wreaths, gifts and lots of other craft and home decorating items. With a little practice, making a professional looking multi loop bow is easy.

Instructions

1. Choose the ribbon to use for the bow. Wired ribbon will produce loops that are puffier and easier to arrange. Make sure the size and color of the bow compliment the item that it will attach to.

2. Pull out a length of ribbon. Estimate the size of each loop to get the right length overall. Cut the ribbon. Spread it out straight on a flat surface.

3. Leave the end or "tail" of the bow in the length you want when the bow is finished. Make a loop in the size you want above the tail. Squeeze at the base of the loop. Twist the loop near the base in one complete turn.

4. Create another loop the same size as the first. Squeeze it and twist at the base. Repeat for each loop. If the ribbon is one-sided, make sure the patterned side is always on the outside of the bow.

5. Put your pointer finger through one of the loops and your middle finger through another. Hold the loops next to each other to make sure that the loops are the same length. Repeat for all loops.

6. Wrap a piece of ribbon or wire around the base of the loops. Pull out the loops on each side while twisting the wire until it is tight. Fluff out and arrange the loops.

7. Drape the tail around the center of the bow. Cut off any excess wire and ribbon.
