Use and Function
Monogramming machines are largely used by commercial businesses that need to embroider large number of monograms onto different items, for example on a clothing production line. They have multiple needles that can be threaded simultaneously, meaning colored threads can be added at the same time. Deigns are selected from the Internet or from disks that can be inserted into the machine.
Machine Comparison
By adjusting the machine's settings and preparing the fabric with an embroidery hoop, a sewing machine is technically capable of embroidering a monogram; however it takes a long time in comparison to a monogramming machine and is not viable for large scale productions.
