Instructions
1. Take good care of your hair. You earn more for hair that is healthy, untreated and from a nonsmoker. If the hair is well taken care of and in great condition (thick, shiny, no breakage), you can earn the maximum for eight inches or more.
2. Get the hair cut at a salon. The hair should be in a ponytail or in a braid when you get it cut. This makes it easier to place in a plastic bag and keeps the hair together instead of having individual strands flying everywhere.
3. Visit local wig shops. Ask them if they are willing to purchase human hair. If so, describe the hair (or show them) and ask what they are willing to pay for the length and condition of the hair.
4. Sign up for websites that specialize in selling human hair. These sites allow users selling hair to post pictures and descriptions of the hair as well as a price. Hair Work and The Hair Trader (see resources) are examples of sites that specialize in selling human hair.
5. Look into websites that manufacture porcelain dolls. Some of these websites are interested in purchasing human hair to make their dolls. You can find porcelain doll manufacturers on the Global Sources website (see resources).
