Creating pigtails for children is quick and simple.
Pigtails can be worn straight or braided to keep your hair back and out of your face. They are perfect for women during warm days or working in the yard. Parents can also create this simple style quickly for a child at play.
Instructions
1. Part your hair down the center and tie each section loosely with one of your hair ties.
2. Gather one section and pull it taut upward, using a comb to smooth the hair. Grip the section tightly near the roots in the circle between your index finger and thumb, about 2 to 3 inches above the ear.
3. Grab the hair tie with your other hand and wrap it three times around the section of hair you're holding. If it is too tight, pull the hair tie off and try again, wrapping it one less time than before.
4. Repeat on the other section of hair. You can braid each pigtail, if desired. Add the hair tie to secure the ends of each braid.
5. Spritz your pigtails with hairspray to prevent stray hairs.
