A wig hair bow style is based around the traditional bow that is often made out of ribbons.
A wig bow is a type of hair accessory that is styled on a synthetic or natural hair wig. The wig bow style was made popular by the superstar singer Lady Gaga, who can often be seen wearing a large wig bow made out of blond hair. Instructions
1. Place the wig onto the wig stand to make it easier to style. Part the crown section of the hair roughly 2-inches above where each ear would be, and pull all the hair above this section back into a tight, high ponytail. Secure the ponytail by twisting an elasticated hairband around the hair several times. Tie the remaining loose section of hair into a low ponytail using the same technique.
2. Divide the hair in the top ponytail into two equal sections. Backcomb each section of hair -- brushing downwards against the hair follicles. This will help to create more volume, and will also make the hair bow style last longer. Gather both sections of hair together and gently brush the hair out, to remove any tangles.
3. Fold the top ponytail into a forward loop. The size of the loop should depend on how big you want your bow ribbons to be. A good starting size is a loop that is 3-inches in height. Pin the loop in front of the base of the ponytail with two bobby pins, and allow the remaining hair to fall forward over the top of the head.
4. Spread the hairs in the loop outwards so that they form a fan shape. Pin either end of the fan shape onto the crown of the wig with a bobby pin.
5. Part the fan shape into two equal sections. Pull the remaining section of hair in front of the ponytail back over the middle section of the fan. This will form the middle knot section of the bow. Secure the middle section of hair behind the ponytail with two bobby pins.
6. Remove the lower ponytail and brush the hair out. Smooth any stray hairs and pin them back with a bobby pin if necessary. Evenly spray the entire wig with the hairspray to secure the style. The wig bow is now ready to wear.
