Make a Hawaiian Hair Clip
Decorative hair clips add color and fun to your look. A flower tucked behind your ear, although cute, doesn't stay for very long. Instead of hassling with the flower, create a Hawaiian hair clip to get a look that will stay. By simply attaching a fake flower to a hair clip, you can have a flower that will stay in place all day long. And by using a fake flower, you can continually reuse the hair clip whenever you want that tropical look.
Instructions
1. Purchase a plain, silver 2- to 3-inch hair clip at any beauty supply or drug store. The best kind to use is a barrette that clasps shut. These will last stay in place in any part of the hair. See the Resource below for an example of the hair clip.
2. Purchase fabric glue and a fake Hawaiian flower from any craft and hobby store.
3. Cut the stem from the flower. Then pull off the base of the flower so you have a flat surface to glue.
4. Run the glue across the top of the hair clip.
5. Glue the flower directly onto the hair clip, firmly but carefully.
6. Allow the glue to dry for five hours or overnight.
7. Clip the Hawaiian hair clip into your hair, just above the ear.
