Little girls and moms alike love the adorable charm of hair bows, but keeping them organized can be a major headache. As any hair-bow-wearing girl knows, one hair bow is never enough. With a variety of styles, colors and patterns to choose from hair bow collections can become unsightly and messy without proper hanging storage. There are a multitude of creative ways to hang hair bows that are not being used, whether you want to display them or hide them away.

Display Hair Bows Artistically
1. Let your daughter join in the painting fun.
Paint the wooden plaque using acrylic paints and paint brushes. Be creative with your design; incorporate your daughter's favorite colors, a pattern or her name into the design. Have your daughter add her own touches to the plaque. For example, use her handprint or let her write her name in paint. Let the plaque dry completely.
2. There are tons of ribbon patterns to choose from to make your hair bow holder unique.
Cut the 1-inch ribbon into five 2.5-foot strips using a pair of scissors. Cut the 1/2-inch ribbon into five 2.5-foot strips. Use a thin layer of glue to glue each 1/2-inch ribbon on top of a 1-inch ribbon. Make sure the 1/2-inch ribbon is parallel and centered in the middle of the 1-inch ribbon and that both ends match. Repeat with the remaining ribbon sets.
3. Turn the plaque over so that the painted side is face down. Using fabric glue or a staple gun, attach the ribbons to the bottom back of the plaque, spacing them equal distance apart from each other. Hang the plaque in the part of the room where you do her hair and attach the hair bows up and down the dangling ribbons.

4. Separate and organize the hair bows into piles according to size, color or occasion -- these piles will eventually go into the clear shoe slots of an over-the-door shoe storage device.
5. Place the bow piles into the shoe slots, organizing them by color, size, occasion or whatever method you prefer. Do not pack the slots too full, otherwise bows will fall out each time you try and remove a hair bow. Make sure you can remove the hair bows from the shoe slots without making a mess. If the slot is too full, then split the hair bow piles among multiple slots.
6. Hang the shoe organizer on the back of a bedroom, bathroom or closet door. Alternatively, use a clamp pants hanger to hold the shoe organizer. Clamp the top of the shoe organizer into the hanger and hang it in the closet.
