Make a Hair Bow for a Flower Girl
Every wedding fortunate enough to have a flower girl in the bridal party is guaranteed exclamations of delight as guests watch the lovely child walk down the aisle strewing flower petals. Creating a hair bow for a flower girl is easily accomplished, and the hair bow can be made to match the colors of the wedding. You will find a vast array of artificial flowers in many colors at local craft stores just waiting to be incorporated into a sweet hair bow for your flower girl.
Instructions
1. Fold the satin ribbon in half to determine the exact center. Tie a bow from the satin ribbon using the center point as the center of the bow.
2. With the scissors, trim any excess on the two ties of the bow so that the length of the bow matches your preference. The ties and the bow should be at least big enough to completely cover the barrette.
3. Using the glue gun and glue sticks, glue the flower to the center of the satin bow. If there are any artificial stems, trim them away with the scissors. If there are leaves present on the artificial flower, determine if you'd like to leave them as part of the flower decoration on the bow. If you don't want them, trim them away with the scissors.
4. Glue the satin bow containing the adhered flower to the barrette. Center the bow over the barrette so that the barrette is completely covered by the satin ribbon fabric. Put a few drops of glue at each end of the metal barrette and use your hand to press the ends of the bow down onto the glue.
