Synthetic hair is artificial hair made from various synthetic materials. One potential creative use for synthetic hairs is to use it to make artificial horns for a costume. When styling synthetic hair, it is important to be careful of using excessive heat and pressure and this can permanently damage or even destroy synthetic hair. The best way to style synthetic hair is to use styling products specifically manufactured for use with synthetic hair.
Instructions
1. Dampen your synthetic hair using warm water. Avoid using water that is too hot as this can permanently damage the synthetic hair making it appear frizzy. Even if you are only using this synthetic hair specifically for the purpose of making horns, you will not want your horns to have frizzy pieces of hair protruding from them.
2. Rub the synthetic hair styling foam in your hands. This foam can be purchased at most hair salons and also online. Because you are not simply styling bangs and are creating a set of horns to stand on end on top of your head, you will want to use a great deal of the styling foam. Start by applying a healthy layer to your hands and use your hands to sculpt and shape the hair into the shape of horns. Repeat this process several times if necessary. Obviously, the smaller the horns, the less weight they will carry and the easier they will stand up.
3. Allow the horns to dry without being disturbed. Any disturbance in the shape of the hair while it is drying will require you to apply fresh styling cream to the hair and reshape it. Once the synthetic hair has dried, you will have a brand new set of horns adorning the top of your head.
