Keep all your little girl's bows neat and organized on a bow board.
For little girls, bows are a lovely hair accessory. For women, a hair bow adds a flirtatious touch to their hairstyle. Hair bows come attached to clips and hair elastics in several different prints, colors and textures. If you are a big fan of hair bows, then chances are your collection is quite sizable. Create a decorative way to store all these ribbon hair accessories with a homemade bow board.
Instructions
1. Paint your canvas with acrylic paint using a foam brush. Let the first coat dry before adding a second coat for complete coverage. Let the second coat dry overnight.
2. Place the painted canvas on your work surface face-down, horizontally oriented. Measure and cut 11 26-inch-long pieces of 1-inch-wide ribbon. Glue one end of a ribbon every 2 inches along the top edge of the canvas' frame starting 1 inch in from the left edge.
3. Bring the ribbons down the front of the canvas, and glue their other ends along the bottom back of the frame every 2 inches starting 1 inch from the left edge. Staple the ends along the top and bottom of the frame right over where you glued them.
4. Use miniature clothespins to pin hair bows attached to hair elastics to the ribbon strips of the board. Otherwise, you can just clip the bows themselves on the strips.
