You can make custom hair bows to match children's outfits.
Hair bows can make your child's hair style look more elegant and charming, and can be customize to match each individual outfit. When you are looking for hair bows at a department store or clothing shop, you may have trouble finding just the right hair bow to match the clothing. One solution is to make your own custom hair bow using craft materials that can be purchased from an art store, such as ribbons, hot glue and plastic jewels.
Instructions
1. Insert a hot glue stick into a hot glue gun, and plug the gun into an outlet to heat for five minutes.
2. Cut four lengths of ribbon to measure 8 inches long. Select four different patterns and colors of ribbon.
3. Tie each ribbon into a bow.
4. Squeeze a dollop of hot glue onto the middle of one of the bows.
5. Place a second bow on top of the glue dollop. Hold it into place until it cools.
6. Repeat this process until all of the bows are glued together.
7. Hot glue the layered bows onto the top of a barrette. Allow the glue to cool completely.
8. Hot glue a plastic jewel onto the middle of the top bow. Allow the glue to cool completely before placing it into your child's hair.
