Bows on alligator clips are commonly worn accessories by little girls. However, buying them can get expensive, especially when the material used to make your own is so cheap. In addition, if you create your own boutique hair bows on alligator clips you can make them in any color combination you choose so they will match whatever you want in your child's wardrobe.
Instructions
1. Fold the 20 inch piece of grosgrain ribbon in half and cut it so you have two pieces of ten inch long ribbon.
2. Fold each piece of ribbon in half and put them together so the edges that are not folded overlap slightly. Wrap a two inch piece of floral wire around the center to make a bow shape.
3. Insert a glue stick into the glue gun. The stick will slide into the hole on the back of the glue gun. Push the stick into the glue gun until it can't go any farther. Plug the glue gun into an outlet to heat up. The glue gun will be ready for use in about three to five minutes. Press on the trigger button to test it. If hot glue comes out of the tip the glue gun is ready to use.
4. Place a dot of hot glue on the middle of the bow on top of the floral wire and press a button into it. Hold the button on the glue for one to two minutes until it dries.
5. Squeeze a line of hot glue on the top of the alligator clip. Push the bow into the glue and hold it until it dries. The glue should dry in one to two minutes.
