Make any small ribbon into the perfect bow.
Small ribbon bows can be used for a wide variety of different craft, decorations and projects. They look adorable on any little girl, wedding invitations, gift packaging or your home during the holidays. Although tying a large ribbon bow is quite simple, tying a smaller one can be a little tricky. Because your fingers are much larger than the bow you're trying to make, making a tiny ribbon bow can become cumbersome. However, there is a trick to making the perfect small ribbon bow every time.
Instructions
1. Lay your ribbon onto a flat surface. Fold the right end of the ribbon over--so the end meets the middle of the ribbon--to create your first loop.
2. Hold the right loop in your right hand. Fold the left end of the ribbon over--again, so the end of the ribbon meets in the middle of the ribbon--to create your second your. Hold the left loop in your left hand.
3. Cross the right loop over the left loop. This will create a "circle" in between the two loops.
4. Fold the right loop behind the left loop and through the middle circle. For very tiny ribbons, lay the crossed loops onto a flat surface. Hold the crossed loops down with your non-dominant hand. Use your dominant hand to easily fold the right loop behind the left loop and through the middle circle.
5. Pull on both of the loops to tighten the bow. To adjust the length of the bow, pull on the ribbon tails. Cut the excess ribbon tails off with scissors.
