Get a plain plastic headband with no embellishments.
Teenagers have a certain style in clothing and accessories. Hair bows may seem like they are for little girls, but if you put them on something besides a hair clip, hair bows work for teens too. Use bands or headbands, stretchy or plastic. You can embellish them in many ways that live up to teens' standards. You can make several colors to match different outfits.
Instructions
1. Get a plastic headband 1-inch wide that fits your head. Cut a piece of your 1-inch ribbon 30 inches long.
2. Wrap cloth ribbon on a headband.
Glue one end horizontally to the inside bottom of the left side of the headband. Start wrapping the band tightly. Overlap the previous wrapped ribbon 1/4-inch. Each time you come to the back of the headband put a drop of hot glue under the ribbon. This will keep all of the wraps in place. Go all the way around to the other end. Cut the ribbon end off and glue on the back of the right end of the headband
3. Tie a bow with the ribbon.
Cut a 15-inch piece of ribbon. Tie a bow in the ribbon. Hot-glue it 2 inches to the left of top center.
