Dress up a plain ponytail with a bow attached to the ponytail holder.
What plain ponytail holders lack in style, they make up for in convenience. These small rings of elastic are easily stashed almost anywhere for quick hair fixes. Add a little stylish visual interest to your plain hair elastics without losing the convenience of their simplicity by attaching to them a bow made of ribbon in just a few minutes. The ponytail holders will still require the same minimal amount of effort and space as they did before.
Instructions
1. Measure and cut a 9-inch piece of 1 1/2-inch-wide ribbon.
2. Fold the ends of the ribbon in to the center so they overlap by 1/4 inch. Secure the overlapped ends to each other with a line of hot glue. Then, secure them to the center of the ribbon with another line of hot glue.
3. Use a dot of hot glue to attach the ponytail holder to the center of the bow.
4. Measure and cut a 1 1/2-inch piece of 1/2-inch-wide ribbon. Wrap the ribbon around the center of the bow and ponytail holder tightly, so it gathers the center of the bow and holds it to the ponytail holder. Glue the overlapping ends of the ribbon together on the inside of the ponytail holder. Trim the ribbon, if necessary.
