Instructions For Cute Updos

A satin bowed headband can make an up-do ultra cute.

Cute and flirty up-dos are simple to create when you boost your hair with a full volume shampoo and conditioner. Accent with hair accessories like headbands, satin bows or jeweled bobby pins for an extra cute updo. Whether you're going to prom, a night out with friends or out on a first date, a cute updo can complement any style fashion and turn a few heads.

Instructions

Cute Accesorized Up-do

1. Wash hair with volumizing shampoo and follow with volumizing conditioner. Plug in a set of hot rollers and lay a hand towel over them to preheat. Apply mousse to the roots of your hair. Blow dry yourhair using a diffuser attachment; if you don't have a diffuser, place your dryer on a low setting.

2. Separate a half-inch section of hair out at the front of your scalp and hold it up toward the ceiling. Place a hot roller barrel behind the piece of hair and tuck the ends around the roller. Roll the barrel backward and secure it with a roller pin once you reach your scalp. Continue to roll half-inch sections until all of your hair is in rollers.

3. Remove the rollers when they are cool to the touch and run your fingers through the curls to loosen. Tease the top of your hair (at the crown) using a fine tooth comb. Gently smooth over the tease using the comb.

4. Gather your hair into a high ponytail and wrap an elastic band around your hair once. On the second wrap around, fold your ponytail in half and wrap your hair up like a bun. Pull your hair tight at the base of the elastic band. Pull a little bit of your hair out to form a puffy bun. Accessorize with a bowed headband and finish with hairspray.

Cute Twisted Up-do

5. Part your hair deep to the right side. Tease your hair at the crown for volume. Tap a bit of powdered or dry wax out into your hands to make your hair more pliable for twisting.

6. Begin twisting your hair on the right side of your forehead. Twist across your face toward the left, and down the left side of your head until just below your left ear. As you twist, secure sections of you hair by placing a bobby pin on the underside of the twist.

7. Repeat the twist on the left side and pin your hair to hold it in place. Roll the remaining ends of your hair up until you reach the nape of your neck. Bobby pin the roll to secure and tuck in any fly-aways. Finish with hairspray
