Tulle bows dress up any gift wrapping, basket or party favor, and they're not difficult to make. Any size roll of tulle will work; however, the wider the tulle the more difficult it will be to keep the bow-like structure. Pick a size between 5 and 6 inches. Tulle lined with wire retains the bow shape the best.
Instructions
1. Measure and cut the pieces of tulle as follows: one 4-inch piece, two 6-inch pieces, two 8-inch pieces, two 9-inch pieces and two 10-inch pieces. Set aside the remaining tulle for the tails.
2. Fold each section of tulle in half and hot-glue the ends together. Once each piece of tulle has been glued, take the one piece of 4-inch tulle and set it aside. This piece will make the center of the bow.
3. Place the two 10-inch pieces of tulle on a flat surface. Glue the ends of the pieces together to form the outer most layer of your bow. Continue with the remaining matching lengths, layering them on top of each other from longest to shortest. Glue the ends of the pieces and also glue each layer to the previous one. Finish by gluing the 4-inch piece in the center.
4. Cut the remaining tulle on the spool into equal lengths to create the tails of your bow. You can either leave the ends as they are cut or add a "V"-shaped cut. Hot-glue the tails onto the back side of the bow.
5. To hang the bow onto another ribbon, simply hot-glue a plain hook onto the back side of the bow. Or use an "S" hook; simply loop it through the back side of the bow and hang it.
