A Valentine's Day wedding is the pinnacle of romance.
Probably one of the most wonderfully romantic days on which to have a wedding is Valentine's Day, a day that epitomizes love. And if you're choosing Valentine's Day for your wedding, you'll want the decor to reflect the romance of both the day and the event. There are so many images and themes associated with Valentine's Day, however, that it might seem overwhelming. But simply keep in mind that you are aiming for simplicity, elegance and romance, and you'll make the right choices.
Instructions
1. Decorate with plenty of candles. Candles are extremely romantic, so use them as a big part of your wedding decor. You can have candelabras filled with candles in the front of the church or wherever you hold your ceremony. Candles also look great in the windows of the site. And don't forget the unity candle. Consider a specially designed Valentine's Day unity candle for your wedding.
2. Include red roses and other red and pink flowers. Red and pink are two of the most prevalent colors of Valentine's Day. You can use roses and other flowers to decorate the ceremony site. You can also carry these flowers in your bouquet.
3. Attach bows made of red velvet to the chairs or pews. These will add to the romance and elegance of your ceremony site.
4. Add cupids to the flower arrangements. Talk to your florist and see if she can add cupids to the bouquets and flower arrangements. They are commonly used for Valentine's Day decorations, and they will certainly add to your wedding decor on the big day. If your florist doesn't have any, see if you can order them online, and then add them to the arrangements yourself.
5. Have caged doves at the ceremony site. They are sweet and symbolize love and romance--just right for a Valentine's Day wedding. After the ceremony, you can take the doves out and release them as a part of your wedding day festivities.
