Toddler Hair styles

The cut that you choose for your toddler should reflect personality and hair texture.

Selecting a hairstyle for your toddler should be based on numerous factors. First, evaluate the texture of your child's hair. Also, take into account how much time you have available for maintenance. Your toddler's activity level should also come into play because very active kids need shorter hair to keep it from getting messy and tangled during the day.

Bangs

Hairstyles with bangs can look cute on both toddler boys and girls. To keep your child from getting frustrated, keep the bangs cut short so that they are out of the eyes. Bangs work with both long and short hair, and many parents choose to frame the face by cutting the hair short in the areas around the cheeks as well.

Hair Clips, Bows, and Ponytails

For a toddler girl with medium length to longer hair, get her adjusted to hair accessories early by using them frequently. Hair accessories add a stylish factor and can keep hair out of the face on windy days.

Short and Curly

Short and curly hairstyles look adorable on both toddler boys and girls with naturally curly hair. Shorter hair be easier to maintain, and you will be able to showcase your child's natural locks. Add a dime-sized amount of gel into your child's dry hair in the mornings if you find that it becomes tangly throughout the day. Avoid using too much gel as it can irritate sensitive skin. You may also want to invest in detangler to use after bath time.

Crew Cuts

Crew cuts are a classic look for little boys as they are easy to maintain and work for any occasion. The crew cut is short all over and barely frames the face. This cut is sure to get you out the door on time and stay maintained throughout your busiest days.

Long Hair

Some people find longer hair more attractive and wish to grow their child's hair out as soon as possible. Long hair styles can be darling on your youngster but be prepared to put in work to maintaining it. When your child is playing with friends or at daycare, you may want to pull it back in a ponytail, or put in pigtails or braids.
