A princess halo garland is a cute and fun accessory to any princess costume. Buying one of these garlands at a store can be expensive, but making one of your own costs a mere fraction of that price. Wire princess garlands are easy enough to make that children can help make them. Because of this, they make a fun craft and party favor for a little girl's princess-theme party.
Instructions
1. Measure the circumference of the child's head around the temples. Cut two pieces of wire that are as long as the circumference of her head plus two inches.
2. Twist both pieces of wire together, starting at one end and twisting along the entire length of the wire until you reach the other end.
3. Twist both ends of the wire together to form a circle of wire. Tuck the ends of the wire within the twists so they don't poke out and ruin the circular shape.
4. Cut five pieces of ribbon, each 30 inches long. Fold one of the pieces of ribbon in half. Bring the looped end underneath the twisted ends of the wire circlet.
5. Thread the loose ends of the ribbon through the looped end and pull it tight. Repeat this process for the rest of the ribbon pieces.
6. Rub in a small dab of glue at the ends of the ribbons to prevent the ribbon from fraying.
