Korker bows are made of many separate lengths of ribbon secured together in the middle, leaving a poof of ribbon ends that create the bow. You can use them as hair bows, accessories to hats or on kids tennis shoes. Add a bell to the center and you'll always know where a baby is.
Instructions
1. Gather together ribbon in the colors you want your korker bow to be. Use as many colors as you like. Cut the ribbon into 2 to 3 inch lengths.
2. Cover the edges of each ribbon with fray check so your ribbon doesn't come apart as you work with it. Let the ribbon dry thoroughly.
3. Lay a length of elastic string out in a flat line. The elastic should be very thin and at least a foot long.
4. Begin laying the ribbon lengths out over the top of the elastic. Make sure the ribbons lay across the middle of the elastic band. The more ribbon lengths you use, the fuller your korker bow will be.
5. Pull the elastic string up and tie into a tight knot. Look at the ribbon. If you need to adjust some, tug on one end until the lengths are all even.
6. Fluff the ribbons so they go in all directions and secure your arrangement with a dab of hot glue or fabric glue.
