You too can create a favor bow (which is just like a layered bow) for gift boxes or wedding or holiday décor. Normally, the bow is made with two or more bows layered on top of one another and then connected by a wire. In this article, you will learn to make a basic two-layered favor bow. It's so easy, anybody can do it. Your friends will love it!
Instructions
1. Hold the ribbon in one hand. Make the first loop on one side of the ribbon, facing out. A 4" loop will make an 8" ribbon.
2. Make the second loop to another side of the ribbon by twisting the ribbon. Make sure the first loop is still facing out.
3. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 until you have made four loops on each side. Leave 6" for a tail at the last loop.
4. Put bow-tying wire around the center of the bow and twist it tightly at the back.
5. Twist the remaining ribbon around your thumb to make the last loop. Make it about the same size as the first loop.
6. Insert the wire through the last loop you are holding with your thumb. Twist the wire tightly at the back. The first bow is done.
7. Make the second bow.
8. Repeat Steps 1 through 7. Make sure the loops are bigger than the first bow. Leave the longer tails as well.
9. Lay the smaller bow over the center of the larger bow. Connect them with the wire by twisting under the larger bow.
