Middle school can be a rough time for many girls, especially when you're trying to fit in and make friends. It seems all the fashions are designed for older girls with curves or little girls who like ribbons and bows. Looking cute in middle school doesn't have to be impossible, though. With a bit of planning and know-how, you can play up what you have and look amazing each morning.

1. Make sure your clothes fit properly. Go shopping with an adult you trust, like your mom or a favorite aunt, so that you can get an honest opinion on the fit of an outfit. Stay away from clothing that's too tight, as it will just make you look younger and immature. Baggy clothes won't do anything good for your budding figure, either, so choose things that accent your curves and make you look well put-together.
2. Accessorize properly. A nice pair of small earrings or a pretty watch can set you apart from the crowd. Choose things that are age-appropriate and tasteful. You don't want to look like you're going to the prom.
3. Use makeup sparingly. In middle school, your skin is probably in really good shape, so you don't need a lot of extra stuff to look cute. Apply a little lip gloss for color, and maybe a bit of light-colored eye shadow and mascara to make your eyes stand out.
4. Find a cute hairstyle that flatters you. Hair trends will come and go, but classic beauty is always in style. If you like to wear your hair long, wash it every day and use conditioner to make it soft and shiny. If you wear your hair up, choose a ponytail holder or clip that blends with your hair color so that it doesn't detract from your style.
