Make your wedding aisle one-of-a-kind.
When crafting the perfect, fairy tale wedding ceremony, it's easy to forget about the wedding aisle. Whether the wedding is in a formal church, or even outside, decorating the aisle makes a strong visual impact. One option is to use both of your initials to create a monogram design on the runner. Learn to make a personalized wedding aisle runner and enjoy your custom wedding.
Instructions
1. Draw the monogram that you will use on a piece of paper. Plan out ahead of time the color and patterns you will use to personalize the wedding aisle. Different variations of monograms can be used. One option is to do a monogram with the letters of your first names and the letter of the last name or names that you will be using after you get married.
2. Go to a copy shop to have the design enlarged to match the size of the aisle runner. Decide where you will be putting the monogram.
3. Unroll the aisle runner so that it's flat. Put painter's tape on the piece of paper and tape it on the underside of the aisle runner. Trace the monogram onto the aisle runner using a pencil.
4. Dip a small paintbrush into the darkest color of paint that you're using. Paint a border around the inner edges of the monogrammed letters.
5. Put a paintbrush in a bright paint color. Paint the inside of the monogram with that color. Let the paint dry for at least 24 hours before touching it.
