Use a Velcro clip hair bow for toddlers with fine hair.
A popular hair accessory for little girls is a hair bow. You can find hair bows in a variety of colors and sizes. Some toddlers have very fine hair, making it hard to find a hair bow with a clip that will stay. A Velcro clip is a solution to getting the clip to stay, when your toddler has fine hair. If you enjoy making crafts or just want to give it a try, make your own Velcro closures and attach the closures to any type of hair bow.
Instructions
1. Cut two 2 to 3-by-1/3-inch pieces of ribbon. Use ribbon that matches or coordinates with the color of the hair bow.
2. Cut a piece of Velcro to measure about 1 centimeter shorter than the length of the ribbon and cut it down the center so that it is not wider than the ribbon. Separate the rough side of the Velcro from the soft side.
3. Apply a small amount of hot glue to the backside of both sides of the Velcro. Glue the rough side to the far left end of the ribbon and glue the soft side to the far right end of the ribbon. Allow 1 to 2 minutes for the glue to dry.
4. Glue your hair bow to one side of the ribbon by applying a small amount of glue to the back of the ribbon and place the bow in the center of the ribbon. Allow 1 to 2 minutes for the glue to dry before allowing your toddler to wear the Velcro clip hair bow.
