Hair bows are popular for little girls and sometimes little dogs.
The presentation of items for sale in retail stores is important to attracting customers. If your store sells hair accessories, such as hair bows, these small items can get lost among other larger items. Keeping the display of your hair bows and other accessories uniform and organized will make for an attractive display that customers feel comfortable perusing. Grouping your bows by color and size makes for a clean design. Additionally, displays must be easily accessible to your customers, not too high or too low.
Instructions
1. Hang hair bows on the wall at eye level and below. Fasten bows to ribbons and tack the ribbons to the wall. Hang the ribbons so customers can easily view and remove each item. Place larger bows directly on the pins tacked to the wall. Group the bows together by color and size and tack them up evenly in rows.
2. Place hair bows on a rotating display. Purchase cards from a display wholesaler and fasten one hair bow to each card. Attach the cards to the rotating display. Displays come in a variety of sizes, and depending on the quantity of your inventory and your retail space, purchase floor displays or ones that sit on the counter. Customers can spin and view multiple bows at once.
3. Place hair bows in jars in a section dedicated to hair accessories or close to the cash register. Separate the bows by color and place in oversized glass jars to create a colorful display that draws customers to dig deeper into the jars. Depending on your stock, you could have a jar for each color bow creating a rainbow of jars.
4. Ask your female employees to wear the bows for sale in their hair. Having your employees wear the product is a great endorsement. Customers may not notice the bows on display, but when seeing the product on someone, she may take note of different ways to wear the bows and consider a purchase for herself.
5. Dedicate an aisle of your store to hair accessories, if you have many to sell and your store is set up with aisles. Place bows on cards and hang from slotted displays placed in each aisle. You may want to include other hair related items such as hairbrushes and tools in this aisle.
