1. Look at dollar stores and in the dollar sections of stores like Target or Walmart for ribbon. You can often find ribbons of various colors, bold patterns and thin ribbons that will work well as accent ribbons for hair bows at stores like these.
2. Check the discount or clearance section of hobby, fabric and craft stores such as Micheal's, Hobby Lobby, and JoAnn Fabrics. While regularly priced ribbon may be expensive, most of these stores have sections or bins of discounted ribbon with a great selection of colors and styles.
3. Sign up on various stores' email lists (such as Micheal's, Hobby Lobby, and JoAnn Fabrics) and print out their coupons to get up to 40 percent off or more on items when you're looking for a particular color of ribbon, or a ribbon that may be hard to find on clearance.
