Sew Snap Clips on Hair Extensions
Clip-on hair extensions are an easy way to add length and body to your hair. You can change your look in moments and with little effort. Ready-made extensions can cost hundreds of dollars, but you can make your own for much less.

Getting the Extensions Ready
1. Measure the hair extension, so it reaches from ear to ear. Cut the hair approximately 1 inch shorter than the measurement. This will be your main extension. You also can cut a few smaller pieces of hair, between 5 to 10 inches wide. These will be placed throughout your head for volume.
2. Comb out the extensions, so there are no tangles. Flat iron or blow-dry them straight. Cut the extensions to the length you desire.
3. Line your hair clips along the weft of the extensions. Make sure the holes of the clips are against the top ends of the hair and that the clip prongs face outward.
Sew Clips to your Extensions
4. Using thick thread, sew the clips onto the weft of the extensions. Put the thread through the hole of the clip and then through the thickest part of the extension weft. Move along the clip from one side to the other, making sure you sew through all the holes of the clip.
5. Continue sewing on all the clips. Space the clips 4 to 5 inches apart, making sure there is also a clip at both ends of each extension.
6. Gently tug the clip away from the hair to make sure the sewing is secure.
7. Clip the finished extensions into the middle of your hair, making sure the clips and wefts are hidden by top layers of hair.
8. Style your hair as normal with the extensions already in.
