Resin can be used to create hair jewelry to adorn your hair. Hair clips can take on any shape or style. Resin is a material commonly used in jewelry, fragrances and polymers. The natural properties in resin give it a viscous texture. Resin kits can be purchased at your a craft or hardware stores. You will want clear casting resin if you are a beginner.
Instructions
1. Tear off a long sheet of waxed paper to cover your working area. Resin is a sticky and messy substance but won't stick to wax paper. Wear disposable gloves while working with resin.
2. Pour the resin mixture and any liquids that come with the resin kit into a measuring cup.
3. Add the color dye of your choice to the mixture.
4. Mix the resin by stirring it with a Popsicle stick.
5. Scrape the resin out of the measuring cup, using the Popsicle stick, pouring it into designer molds shaped like hair clips or jewelry. Use a low-temperature hair dryer to heat the resin mixture until bubbles surface and disappear.
