Hair bows
have been worn by little girls for decades. They help hold hair back and add a cute touch to the hairstyle. They are also simple to put in little girls' hair without a lot of work or fuss.
Instructions
1. Pick out the fabric for the hair bows. You can even bring your little girl to the fabric store and let her pick out her favorite colors, patterns and textures. Try luscious materials such as satin, patterned ribbons, rich colors or velvet. For each fabric, cut 1 foot of fabric and put it aside.
2. Pick up one of the fabric strips and tie it into a bow. Make sure you do not squash the middle of the bow while tying it. After you tie it, add a tiny bit of hot glue to the back center of the bow.
Create smaller hair bows if desired. The pieces of fabric that are measured to 1 foot are best for ponytails or pigtails. Smaller bows can be made with careful tying.
3. Dab a small bit of glue to the metal hair clip and set the bow on top. Let dry.
4. Wear the hair bows accordingly. Different styles for little girls' hair bows include brushing bangs back and securing them with the hair clip bows. Or, you can fasten the bows on top of low or high pony tails, braids or pigtails. Pull the hair halfway back and secure with a clip. Fasten several clip-on bows to different parts of a long braid down the back.
