Cheerleaders are full of spirit, and their job is to pump up the crowd to root on the home team. Since they are so full of spirit, it makes sense that their attire should be spirited as well. The uniforms are fun and perky, and their hair should be, too. That's why cheerleaders often have matching hair bows to complete their look. These bows are easy to make and fun to wear!
Instructions
1. Select your ribbons. Try to choose colors that coordinate with your uniform. Pick one color for the 1-foot length of ribbon and another color for the 6-inch piece of ribbon. Cut the ribbons to those lengths.
2. Lay the 1-foot-long ribbon right-side up. Start at one end and form a small loop. Fold the loop back on itself and then again so there are three loops. Repeat the folding and loops on the other side. Hold each with your fingers or a small clip.
3. Take the 6-inch piece of ribbon and weave it through the three loops on each side. Then wrap the ribbon around the center between the two sides of loops. Heat up the hot glue gun.
4. Put a dab of glue under the center of the loop. Hold the two pieces of ribbon together. Hold for several seconds until dry. Then cover the top of a barrette in hot glue. Press the ribbons on top of the barrette and press down firmly. Hold in place for several seconds until dry.
