Improve sales with professionally displayed hair bows.
Proper display techniques are vital if you want to sell your hair bows at craft fairs or through retail outlets. Many customers view the hair bows as being worth more when they are displayed professionally. While display cards are readily available from packaging manufacturer's they are expensive if you are just starting out or only have a few bows to display. Create branded hair bow cards using your computer and cardstock.
Instructions
1. Cut an 8.5-by-11 inch sheet of cardstock into four equal sized rectangles. Use cardstock in a neutral color so the card does not compete with the colors of your hair bows. Set a rectangle in front of you so that the short side is the bottom and the long sides are the sides of the card.
2. Measure in one-half inch from either side and 1 inch up from the bottom of the card and pencil a small X in at each spot. Measure 2 inches up from the X in each lower corner and place a second X above the first two.
3. Punch a hole through each of the four X marks on the card, using a handheld single-hole punch. Cut a straight vertical line between each of the two sets of holes with a craft knife. You now have a card with two vertical slits in it to pas the clip of the hair bow through.
4. Type your business name, logo and contact information in a 2-by-4-inch label template, included with most brands of address labels. Print the labels according the directions on the package.
5. Place the label over the top of the card directly above the vertical slits that hold the bow. Punch another hole in the center of the top edge to hang the bow from a display if desired.
