Make Wristlet Corsages With Velvet Laces and ribbons

Corsages are traditional accessories made out of fresh flowers and worn by females at special occasions. Making your own corsage gives you the opportunity to add your personality to a classic staple. Use your favorite flowers, find a fun ribbon to use and take pride in your one-of-a-kind composition.

Instructions

Making your corsage

1. Select your flowers and filler material. You should have either one, three or five flowers; never use an even amount. Baby's Breath or small Forget-me-nots are common selections for this.

2. Use the floral tape to tape the stems of the flowers together. If you would like to make it easier to position the flowers, cut some wire and tape it to the stems of the flowers. Place the filler on top of the flowers and tape together. Make any adjustments that are necessary to the appearance of the arrangement before attaching them to the ribbon.

3. Make sure that the ribbon you have selected is sturdy enough to support your corsage. Attach the flowers to the ribbon with a safety pin. Tie the ribbon around your wrist and enjoy your festive accessory!
