A wrapping paper bow can really complement your gift in a pinch. It allows you to have a matching ribbon or bow to finish off your gift without having to go out and buy one. It's a great cost-effective and green way to make a beautiful looking present. You can recycle old wrapping paper by making bows out of it, or mix and match the kinds of bows you use to create a little variety in the look of your gift.
Instructions
1. Measure out a 5-inch wide by 10-inch long piece of wrapping paper.
2. Fold over a half inch all around the edge of the 5 by 10-inch piece of paper.
3. Fold the sheet in half lengthwise. This will create a long 2-inch wide by 9-inch long sheet.
4. Tape down the edge of the 2-inch wide by 9-inch long sheet.
5. Fold the sheet into three 3-inch long sections. You will have two legs and a center piece. Make sure the left and right legs close over the center piece horizontally.
6. Cut out a 5-inch square of wrapping paper.
7. Fold a 1/2 inch all around the edge of the square.
8. Fold the piece in half. This will create a 2-inch wide by 5-inch long strip with which you will finish your bow.
9. Tape down the edge of the 2-inch wide by 5-inch long piece.
10. Wrap the piece you finished in the last step around the center of the bow, and tape its edges at the back. This will finish your bow.
11. Tape your bow to a gift.
