Betty Boop, a 1930s cartoon character, is most remembered for her sexy body and femininity. Betty appeals to many as the ideal Halloween costume, and with good reason. With an idea of what you need to pull your costume together, it can be easy and fun to create it.
Find a Dress and Shoes
A "Betty Boop-style" dress would be sexy and red. Make it strapless, low-cut and tight so it will hug all of your curves. For shoes, find any pair of red high heels. These items can be purchased anywhere, from a high-end-fashion store to a thrift store.
Accessories
Find some old-fashioned fishnet stockings with garters. Betty Boop wears her garter high on her leg. Acquire some gold-colored hoop earrings and bangle bracelets to wear with your costume. If desired, you could carry around a small, white, spotted dog to imitate Betty's loyal companion, Pudgy. A short, black, wavy wig is essential. An alternate option, though, would be to dye your short hair black, and use hair gel to create small waves.
Makeup
Having the correct make-up can perfect your Betty Boop costume. Unless you have extremely long eyelashes, false eyelashes would be a great addition to your costume. Purchase and apply some bright red lipstick. If you have lighter eyebrows use an eyebrow pencil, darker than your natural eyebrow color, and create dark eyebrows.
