Make Hair Punk
Punk is a fashion statement as well as a music scene. The punk style usually involves leather jackets, chains, studded belts and cool, crazy hair. Punk hair has to stand out in a crowd, so the wilder the better.
Instructions
1. Bleach your hair before coloring it. Bright colors won't show up on dark hair so it's necessary to lighten your hair before dying it. You can bleach it at home or have it done professionally.
2. Decide what color you want to dye your hair. Bright funky colors are semi-permanent or temporary so you can change your hair color frequently. Dye your hair the funky color of your choice. Have a friend help you to ensure you get all of your hair and avoid unsightly streaks.
3. Get your hair cut in the desired style. Mohawks and short spiky hair are very popular in the punk scene. Take in a picture with you to make sure your stylist knows what you want your hair to look like.
4. Style your new hair. If you have a mohawk or spiky hair you are going to need to use styling products to get the right look. Glues and mega hold hairsprays work the best, but you can always ask other punks what products they use.
5. Maintain your new punk hair. You will need to invest money in special shampoo and conditioners to keep your color looking its best. Keep up with your color and reapply as soon as it starts to fade.
